Greetings!
I am Yvette Kinyon, a passionate artist and mother based in the beautiful city of Portland, Oregon. With an Associate's Degree in social sciences, specializing in Gender and Women’s studies from Portland Community College, I have always found inspiration in exploring the complex intersections of humanity and the natural world.
I have been honing my skills in creating both utilitarian and decorative ceramic works, alongside a diverse range of sculptures since 2005. I also create captivating 2D work and write poetry on the side. My artwork has had the honor of being featured in galleries across the west coast, particularly in the vibrant artistic community of Portland.
My artistic vision predominantly revolves around themes of grief, dying, and the astounding beauty found in nature that surrounds us. I believe that art has the power to evoke deep emotions and provide solace during times of loss, while also celebrating the resilience and interconnectedness of all living beings.
In addition to my dedication to visual art, I have also been a working model since 2002. This exciting venture has allowed me to collaborate with renowned clients such as Schmidt's Naturals, Abercrombie and Fitch, Google, and Nikon.
If you have any inquiries related to my modeling work, please feel free to reach out using the contact form provided above.
As a freelance artist, I am thrilled to be accepting commissions for ceramic works and other unique sculptures. Whether you desire a custom designed piece or are interested in my existing works, I regularly vend throughout Portland and the Pacific Northwest, making my art accessible to a wider audience.
I am always open to new opportunities and collaborations with galleries, as well as creating art specifically for events. If you are a curator, event organizer, or simply an art enthusiast, I wholeheartedly encourage you to reach out!
Lamps, dinnerware, vases, and chairs are some of my favorite items to construct!
Let's create something extraordinary together.
Thank you for your time and interest in my artistic journey. I look forward to connecting with like-minded individuals who share a love for creativity and the profound beauty of the world we inhabit.
Kind Regards,
Yvette
